- Lesson 01 - “The Anatomy Of A Production” – Part 1
Do you ever wonder why some artists/producers just seem to have an innate ability to express themselves and move people with their music and productions? Do you agree that if a record makes you “feel” something then there’s a good chance it will also do the same with millions of listeners? Are you merely combining tracks and placing a vocal on top or do you have a plan to integrate all of the production elements in perfect harmony to maximize the impact of your records? David has a solution and in lesson 1 he will discuss how to accomplish exactly this and give you his 7 bullet point checklist you’ll find priceless in putting your productions together.- Lesson 02 - “The Anatomy Of A Production” – Part 2
- Do you know what the basic production elements are and how to properly combine them? Have you ever considered the way they do combine and work together to make the whole much larger than the sum of it’s parts? In lesson 2 David gets to the core of his teaching and identifies the five basic production elements. You will learn that although it’s important to know how to maximize each element, it’s the proper combination and timing of those element’s that creates magic.

As you listen to your finished production, do you think the record works perfectly as a whole or does it sound disjointed? In lesson six, David discusses how to make your production move in harmony with the moods and emotions of your storyline. He discusses “emotion triggers” and how to imbed them in your lyrics in order to create the maximum emotional impact.
- Lesson 06 - “Arrangement and Spatial Positioning”
- Would you say that your arrangements are “adding” or “subtracting” from the emotion or expression you are trying to achieve? Are they supporting the “impact” of your recordings or are they “Distracting”? David points out that like a vase of beautiful flowers, it’s the “spaces between them” as well as the actual flowers that makes a beautiful arrangement. Lesson 07 - “Rhythmic Development”- Are your song’s rhythmic patterns helping or hurting your productions overall flow? Are they sympathetic or bombastic?
